This weekend sees the last Team Sky race for Britain’s 2012 Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins as he tackles and attempts to win the Paris Roubaix. We will be on the famous Carrefour de l’Arbre this Sunday just 5km from our northern base to hopefully cheer on Wiggo to a famous victory.
We are here in the North riding and watching the cobbles of Flanders and Roubaix each year as well as providing cycle hire for the Flanders Sportive and Roubaix Sportive the day before the Pros. The next day we watch how it really should be ridden! During the stay we also ride a few other cobbled section such as the Kemmelberg and also visit the Tour of Flanders Cycling Museum in Oudenaarde
Flanders (Ronde Van Vlaanderan)
Last week after a very wet Flanders sportive we took our customers over to watch the Pros as they tackled the Kwaremont 3 times. They definitely had the better weather !
Roubaix (Hell of the North)
This weekend we are expecting better weather as our guests tackle the 50km of cobbles over a distance of 170km on the Paris Roubaix Challenge on the Saturday before watching the pros on the Sunday.
